Health Concept in TCM

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we emphasize the prevention of sickness. When body functions being to change course, we begin treatment. We also use diet, exercises, tui-na (It’s broader than massage, involves more skills and is more focus to work on the acupuncture points), lifestyle and moral cultivation to prevent sickness and instead to maintain health.

For instance,  if a person is under extreme amount of stress, we would encourage you to drink more green tea or lemon juice (a natural one with honey), do qi gong to promote the free flow of energy inside the entire body, do tui-na if a particular body part  begins to feel tight and to sleep according to the season i.e. following the sun rise and sunset, promoting the natural rhythm of sleeping and waking. In  addition, we re-balance world views to help re-balance the mind to be less materialistic and lessen the focus of ambitious in order to keep everything simple to achieve longevity with health.

By doing so, health remains well and immunity is high. With good moral cultivation, there is always a room for the other people to live and be better. Moreover, there is  higher life satisfactions.  Material desire along with an unsatisfied feeling is the number one killer of good health.

For instance,  anyone with good circulation always has warm hands and feet, and no pain.  It means that his/her heart is strong enough to pump the blood to the end of the four limbs without blockage. It is a good sign that he/she does not need to worry about cancer attacking him/her.

If a person’s heart is healthy, he/she will sleep soundly.  If a person’s spleen is healthy, he/she will fall in asleep easily when it is bed-time. If the liver is healthy, he/she will not wake up between 1:00-3:00 a.m. If the lungs are healthy, he/she will not wake up between 3:00-5:00 a.m. The sooner an abnormal sleeping time frame is determined, we can begin treatment and it will never reach a state of cancer .

If all organs are functioning well, people will look young, good shape and with  minimum traces of age.. Moreover, since  each organ also supplies nutrition and controls different parts of the brain, once all of the organs are  fully functioning, the brain will also function at a higher capacity resulting in: good memory, alertness, sharpness and to react quickly.

Chinese Medicine can help to prevent sicknesses and maintain health. But how about someone who could already be sick, or just before the symptoms appear? Yes, certainly, we can help the body function become normal again. The only exception is when  it was already changed by western medicine. For instance,  if there was surgery, which cuts the part and so it is gone forever, or if the body has been injected with insulin for too long, the pancreas naturally degenerates and can no longer secrete insulin.
